The Orchard Sinks Its Teeth Into “What We Do In The Shadows”

Deal For The Mockumentary/Comedy Includes U.S. Digital, DVD and Broadcast Rights And Is Locked In Advance Of TIFF Screening

New York, NY and Toronto, ON – September 5, 2014 – Film and TV distributor The Orchard has partnered with Unison Films and Funny Or Die on the U.S. distribution of What We Do In The Shadows, a mockumentary/comedy written, directed by, and starring Jemaine Clement (Flight of the Conchords, Men In Black 3) and Academy Award® nominee Taika Waititi (Boy, Eagle vs. Shark).

The Orchard has secured U.S. digital, DVD and broadcast distribution rights for the film, while Unison Films will be heading up the U.S. theatrical release and Funny or Die will leverage its social media and marketing reach leading up to the film’s release. […]

The deal was negotiated by Craig Sussman of The Orchard with producer Emanuel Michael and CAA.
