Jemaine and Taika have just launched a Kickstarter campaign to raise money to release What We Do in the Shadows in American cinemas.
February 13-15 is the opening weekend, when they will personally attend the special screenings and Q&A’s in New York and Los Angeles, but they aim to show the film in 70 cities all across the USA. They want to collect $400,000 for posters, trailers, advertising, publicity etc.
