Taika helps to raise money for the International Emerging Film Talent Association (IEFTA).

Marco Orsini, the award-winning movie director and producer born in Puerto Rico and living in the Principality, and co-founder of the International Film Talent Association (IEFTA) organised yesterday evening the Monaco movie premiere of the award-winning musical comedy Boy. […] Present at the screening were the film director, Oscar nominee Taika Waititi and Bird Runningwater, the Sundance Film Festival Indigenous Director. In one of his Kickstarter updates, Taika wrote,

I just had an amazing screening for a friend’s charity to raise money for Ethiopian film makers to attend workshops and festivals in France. The response was fantastic and we managed to raise about 4k for those guys. Everyone’s raising money for everyone!

Okay, I’m off to raise some more money for more films. I just can’t stop!!! I hope I’m this enthusiastic about raising a kid.
