This movie is simply fun! “What We Do In The Shadows” is definitely an orgasm for the funny bone.
The New Zealand filmmakers have created a funny movie with morbid charm…. “What we do in the Shadows” would be an awesome pilot episode for an HBO television series and will definitely bring you laugh!
Most Mockumentaries suffer from the fact that the humor level can not be maintained but in this case, the filmmakers have at least retain enough gags and developments in the hindquarters in order to maintain 86 minutes long with no problem, and who thinks I have already told you the best gags in this text, which I can assure you there are waaaay more.
During a Q&A after one of the screenings, the audience expressed their concerns about their safety,
“Isn’t it irresponsible to bring these vampires to Berlin? How many people here in the cinema will survive?”
“It’s perfectly safe – we’ve had the whole cinema sprayed with holy water and dipped all the tickets in garlic water beforehand.”
