THE AGONY AND THE ECSTASY OF STEVE JOBS
Written by Mike Daisey

Back by popular demand, one of the most controversial pieces of modern theatre returns for one night only, when The Agony and The Ecstasy of Steve Jobs polarizes audiences, Sunday November 18 at the Concert Chamber, Auckland Town Hall – and as more names are announced, the cast for the production this time gets stronger and stronger.

Taika Waititi, director of New Zealand smash hit Boy and recently the US adaptation of cult UK comedy The Inbetweeners, will be featuring in the Oliver Driver directed piece. He is joined also by Supercity star and musician Madeleine Sami and Shortland Street actress Beth Allen for this fantastic, star studded performance of Daisey’s notorious work..

Much like a must-see documentary, THE AGONY AND THE ECSTASY OF STEVE JOBS is critical theatre – and with one performance only it’s even more important to book now.

“The best original American play so far this year” –The Washington Post.

“The Agony and the Ecstasy of Steve Jobs,” is a mind-clouding, eye-opening exploration of the moral choices we unknowingly or unthinkingly make when we purchase nifty little gadgets like the iPhone and the iPad.” – New York Post
